Family & Fatherhood
Every child deserves both parents.
The Father's Fund stands for the family — and for the fathers our system too often pushes aside.

Why This Matters
The research is clear.
Decades of study — including the American Psychological Association's — show children in shared custody are better adjusted across family relationships, self-esteem, emotional and behavioral health, and often do as well as children in intact homes. Kids do best when both parents stay in their lives. Yet in Illinois, the average father spends just 23% of the year with his children — 47th in the nation.
